Biology 160 - Human biology

Week 2 (APR 14 - 20)

1. Week 1 overall

I trust you've enjoyed week 1 as I have. The conference posts had good depth and this is the standard we will maintain. I'm delighted that some of you have been very proactive and have chosen your term paper topics already. Remember, you can still change your topic if you want, but perhaps it's better to stick to your favorite at this point.

Remember, all work is due on Saturdays, 23:59:59 hrs.

2. Your first homework

Your first figure-labeling homework (the Cell membrane) is a PDF file (viewable and printable with Adobe Acrobat Reader). Your answers should be in an MSWord document - in the file name you give it, please include your name (i.e., John Doe cell membrane homework). Further instructions are given in Conference 2.

3. Your first graded Quiz (Quiz 1)

Your first graded quiz is posted as a PDF file in Conference 2. This is also to be submitted via the Assignments folder of Webtycho.

4. Conference 2

Conference 2 is now active and conference 1 has been closed. Please check out Week 2 - APR 14 - 20 for details on week 2.

5. News briefs

This new conference is for news and discussion of current issues pertaining to human biology. I'd like to have news available for reading in our class, and I think this would enrich and enhance our online classroom experience.

Please feel free to comment on the topics or post new ones that you think is appropriate.

Enjoy week 2!
